University of Houston -  Clear Lake

Accounting Association

 Mission Statement

To promote interest and achievement in accounting among all students, especially those entering the corporate environment.

Our goal is to inform students of current changes in the accounting profession and prepare students for the transition between
school and their careers.

About Us

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), a nonprofit organization, sponsors the University of Houston-Clear Lake Accounting Association to assist students with professional development and personal growth.

The University of Houston-Clear Lake Accounting Association (UHCLAA) allows students to meet and network with a wide range of business professionals to learn about the variety of careers and immense opportunities a degree in accounting will offer. Our organization promotes professional development, community service, leadership opportunities, and a means to benefit through IMA services. Additionally, we provide the resources and mentorship that prepare students for their future careers.

The IMA Houston chapter conducts a meeting every third Tuesday of the month.
